I joined TecNiq in Oct. of 2012 and started out as a Machine Operator. Over the years I have held positions of Line Leader, Assistant Supervisor in production as well as Shipping, Receiving and Warehouse Supervisor. I have since been promoted to Manufacturing Supervisor for all product lines. I have also went back to school to further my education and growth opportunities within the company.
I chose to work at TecNiq because it was a smaller company with a very bright future, and I wanted to grow with it. I’m very thankful to have such a wide range of opportunities here at TecNiq. We offer a great atmosphere to work in and I get a lot of gratification from working with our employees.
I’m a Mechanical Engineer here at TecNiq Inc. I have been employed by TecNiq for the last 5 years. I started out in production and have worked my way up to Mechanical Engineer. My background in hydraulics, pneumatics and the automotive industry, helped in preparing me for new opportunities in the company.
I like working at TecNiq because of the fast pace environment, creating custom solutions for our many OEM manufacturers. I like that one day I am designing a light for an ambulance then the next day designing a custom light for a prototype boat. If you like doing something different all the time, in a fast paced environment, this is the place to be!
I have been employed at TecNiq as a Production Line Worker assembling lights for about 2 years. I started as a temporary employee, having substantial increases in wage and great benefits after being hired-in full-time. TecNiq prefers to hire within the company, so there are regular job postings that allow a Line Worker to advance in the company.
Whenever the quality control department has extra work, I assist them in sorting and testing parts to make sure they are the best quality for our customers. I take great pride in the fact that the lights we make at TecNiq Inc. help assist emergency personnel and create a safer roadway or waterway.
I started at TecNiq 2-1/2 years ago. What I thought was going to be just a job, has turned into a great career! I am good at my job and I like helping our new employees, as their Line Coach. I train new employees frequently, so the new position of “Line Coach” fit me perfectly.
I help the new hires learn to be more detail oriented, checking every aspect of each light we produce. Duties can range from understanding work instructions, to understanding the proper way to pack a box of products. I take great job satisfaction in seeing a new hire apply these new methods to build some of the most efficient lighting in the world.
